Authentic Movement Retreat:
18 August until Sunday, 24 August 2025

R E T R E A T   I N F O R M A T I O N

This is a six night retreat at the beautiful Balabrook Retreat Centre in South Dartmoor in August 2025 led by Dr Eila Goldhahn and with helpers Stuart J Young and Dominique Olney.

We will have use of two gorgeous studios, well-appointed accommodation, a generous kitchen/diner and library. A small river runs through the grounds providing a calming companion to all we do and the open moors are within a three-minute wander. The exquisite, private indoor and outdoor spaces help to connect to ourselves and with nature in this special site. Our food is home cooked by Stuart and Dominique, delicious and vegetarian. If you haven't been before, here is a link to Balabroo https://balabrook.org.uk
We will be living a type of 'utopia' for a week!

This annual MoverWitness Retreat offers you guidance to deepen your individual 'authentic’ movement practice and to develop your inner witness. You will practice to discern between different layers of perception and use percept language to describe your experiences. In collective circles you will be able to savour the richness that a group of trusting movers create together and the poetics that emerge when weaving the moving and spoken narratives. We will sometimes work in smaller circles, for example break out into MoverWitness diads or triads, and all mens' and all womens’ groups. There will also be the opportunity for individual feedback and witnessing.

Participants will have worked either with me or with another Authentic Movement teacher. Please email me.

Partners are welcome, as we have several double rooms available. They will join in the contemplative atmosphere of the retreat and can contribute to evening entertainment, musical instruments or bring other creative pursuits. We can have outdoor fire circles under starry skies, song and dance to home-made music and, as we go inwards, we also go up and out in joy and hope! We intend to make this a very special time together and look forward to connecting with you.
