Mucky Hands

Artist: Stuart J Young
Practice: Photography
Project type: Exhibition / Publication

Medium: C-type prints

Mucky Hands is a series visualising the gestures of mark-making with charcoal. The work considers the hand as creative embodiment and itself a site of inscription, where acts of making become entangled with ideas of complicity and conscience. The blackened hand evokes gestures performed and withheld, reflecting on the uneasy position of witnessing violence and injustice from a distance.

Water

Practice: Photography
Project type: Exhibition / Publication

Medium: C-type prints

Water is part of an ongoing photographic series exploring pattern and shape in built environments. Masses of water streaming down the dam transform the engineered infrastructure into a shifting textile of light, texture, and rhythm. Natural forces temporarily dissolve the rigid architecture.

Crazy Golf

Artist: Eila Goldhahn
Practice: Photography
Project type: Exhibition / Publication

Medium: C-type prints

Crazy Golf is part of a series exploring sculptural and somatic readings of constructed play environments.
Often constructed from fabricated materials and found objects, mini golf courses are composed of obstacles that players negotiate with a club and a small ball: tunnels, ramps, windmills, wells, idiosyncratic forms that sit between symbol and metaphor, play and display, nonsense and sculptural proposition.

Losers and Winners

Artist: Eila Goldhahn
Practice: Sculpture
Project type: Exhibition / Gallery work

Medium: Mild Steel

Losers and Winners explores conflict and care. Constructed from found steel, the figures inhabit uncertain encounters that oscillate between combat, embrace, and support. Playful in form and size yet emotionally charged, the works consider how bodies negotiate power, vulnerability, and dependence through gesture and proximity.

Goal

Artist: Eila Goldhahn
Practice: Photography
Project type: Exhibition / Publication

Medium: C-type prints

Goal is an ongoing series exploring the sculptural and somatic dimensions of games and play environments. The work considers these spaces as choreographed system in which bodies, objects, and architecture become interdependent, revealing the logic embedded within rules, movement, and competition, and seen as a metaphor for social structures.
